A Day With Grandma Maggie
We decided late Saturday afternoon that we were going to see Grandma on Sunday. We got up and headed out. The trip down was long, potty breaks, crabby kids, and a gas stop. We picked Grandma up and took her out for lunch, she forgot we were coming and thought that they just weren't going to feed her. We sat a chair outside for her at the Quarry Lodge and she held Owen and watched the other kids play with rocks. Abbie and Drew picked a bunch of dandelions for her and made her a rock collection. Evan ran around and burned some energy. Then we went to the cemetery and the kids cleaned off their head stone. Evan and Grandma kicked around a soccer ball and I made sure that I had a good grip of her! She even turned it over and said it was her hockey stick but she couldn't hit the ball. Then we went for a drive around Elgin. We got back to Eagle Ridge and she wanted to watch the video that was made form their old home movies, she claims to have never seen it. She loved watching it and was tapping her feet to the music. She watched the kids up and down the halls. After 5 hours we had to head home but we had a great time and she laughed a lot and smiled while she watched the kids play. Then the kids and I spent Monday recovering from our trip to IA. I'm just glad that we are able to go and see her, even if only for a few hours.
Hope everybody is having a good week.

Hi Krista!
Sounds like you had a fun , but tiring day in Iowa. The pictures are always nice to take and save. The Blog is a good place to share them with family and friends.
Hope the rest of the family is doing well.
Take Care,
Aunt Mattie
You definitly need to get the kids audio on here. It is so easy. I love it and glad that I figured out how to do it. How fun.
