Thank Goodness for Friends and Family

This has been a very busy last week and a half. Daycare is going great and we love to have the kids here. Our kids are doing great with them. Owen was showing jealousy at first but now is giving kisses instead. I have Katey starting here in a couple of weeks.

We had our good friends, Jason, Denise, and thei girls, Heather and Miranda, were here for the week-end. We had a great time with them. We had our Christmas with them. The guys took the kids sledding while we went shopping! We had a great time and made out like bandits with our shopping.

We also were reconnected with one of our friends from IA. It seems like a lifetime ago. She is actually the one that got Ken and I together. They met at Medic. We haven't talked to her in 10 years and it was great to get caught up. We will have lots of time to do that. She couldn't believe that we have 4 kids.

We are planning the 85th Birthday for Grandma Roberts. It sounds like it will be a fun time. We are all bringing food and they are trying to get a quartet to sing there for her.

That's it for now. I will find something to put on here soon. Take care.

BBRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

It is very cold her today! It is 2:15 and it is 0 out=) Last-night it was -14. We have stayed in and are keeping warm.

Last week was my first full week of daycare and it went very well. I was so beat by the end of the week. We spent the week-end here in Mankato. Ken was off and then they had practice on Sunday at 12:15PM. We got caught up with a lot of things, groceries, cleaning, paperwork, and naps!

Things are going well here and I hope they are the same for all of you. My cousin Stephanie and their son Jaden are home and improving every day! YEAH!!!

Take care

New Do's

We had some time for some much needed hair cuts. The boys are sporting new do's. I don't have one of Evan (he didn't want a picture of it)but there are ones of Drew and Owen. Also, Abbie in one of her dress up dresses.

We had a good week-end and it went way to fast. We had Stacy, Jeff, Gordy, Me, Ken, and Evan all went to the hockey game on Friday. It was MN state University, Mankato, against the MN Gophers. (the Gophers are #1 in the state.) It was fun but we lost.

I had an interview on Friday, for an 18 month old little girl, and she will start here on Feb.13. She is adorable and will be fun to have here. She is the daughter of a lady I met at the OB clinic when I was pregnant with Owen and she and Drew played peek-a-boo.

I also have a gal that is coming in a couple of weeks who is having a baby in March and wants to come here. I can't take the baby until the end of Sept. but she is thrilled to be coming here. By then Maddy will be one and I will be able to take the other baby.

So far things are going well and I like having the money coming in!! I won't take any other kids for a little while so that I can get used to the ones that I have. I plan on a busy summer.

Please keep my cousin Stephanie and her family in your prayers as they are still at the hospital trying to get things figured out with their little Jaden.

Have a great week!

Survived the First Week

This was my first week of daycare with the two new children. Maddy is 3 months and will be here full time. Trenton, comes home with Evan and is 6. Then I have Sammy that is here one day a week, she is the one that I have had since May. I have an interview tonight with parents of an 18 month old, little girl. I am hoping that they take the spot and then that is where I will stop for now until we get into the groove. So far things are going well and I am finding that the more organized I am, the smoother the day goes. Ken and i went out for dinner last night and it was noce. I am so excited that things are going well and we love having the kids here.

Keep in touch.

Also, keep my cousin stephanie and her family in your prayers. They are parents of Jaden who had heart surgery and now he in the hospital again and they are unsure of why he is having pain. They are staying so strong but need all the prayers they can get so their little guy can get better and go home again.

Have a great week-end!
